Eligibility For Undergraduate Program
The number of merit seats in different departments and conditions of eligibility are mentioned in each department.
The subjects whose study is a pre-requisite for admission to different departments have also been identified.
Preference will be given to those candidates who had offered same subject in Intermediate / H.S.C. for which they have applied for admission.
The admissions will be based on the principle of equal opportunities to all without discrimination of gender, color and creed.
The students will be admitted through Pre-Entry Test to be conducted by the University. Transparency in admissions will be ensured.
50% of total seats are reserved for the bonafide residents of -- Lyari, Gadap, Keamari, and Malir; and remaining 50% of seats are divided in all districts of Sindh including Karachi district. The Quality Criteria enunciated by HEC will be adhered to strictly.
Students who maintain a minimum 80% of attendance, discipline in class room/campus and excel in performance will be awarded Freeships/Qarz-e-Hasna.
CONDITIONS FOR ELIGIBILITY
For admission in the Faculties of Management & Administrative Sciences, Computing Sciences and Arts /Social Sciences, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of 45 per cent marks in the pre-requisite examination (Grace / Condonation marks will not be counted).
A student placed in 3rd division or obtaining less than 45 per cent marks in the pre-requisite examination is not eligible for admission in the University.
A candidate who has already obtained a BS or Masters Degree is not eligible for readmission or fresh admission in any BS Program.
If any such case comes to the notice, the student's admission will be cancelled, and legal action can be initiated against him/her.
Only those candidates can apply for admission that has passed the pre-requisite examination passed in 2010 or 2011.
Candidates desirous of taking admission on the basis of degrees certificates awarded by parent's sector institutions in Pakistan should get the equivalent of their degrees/ certificates.
Inadvertent admission of candidates from non-recognized institutions can be cancelled at any time.
At the time of admission of Foreign Student, they required to submit original equivalent certificates issued by I.B.C.C permanently or photocopy of the same.
